The Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia honored Walter Annenberg by naming a scholarship fund in his name. Though the scholarships were funded by the Broadcast Pioneers and not by Ambassador Annenberg, the oreganization wished to pay tribute to Walter's achievements in broadcasting.

Shown in the photo above is Bob Kalthoff who was President of the National organization of the Broadcast Pioneers. The national group no longer exists today. However, the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia has more members today than ever before.

Shortly after the dinner, Jack Satterfield on behalf of the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia received the letter (below) from Walter Annenberg.
