The Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia

Sharon Walz-Zelley has been Director of Research at CBS 3 and The CW Philly since 2002. She came to the stations from Eagle Television Sales, a division of Katz Media Corporation, in New York City, where she had been Vice President of Marketing and Research for three years.

Previously, she served as Research Director of WBAL-TV and WMAR-TV in Baltimore in addition to positions with Petry Television in New York and KHJ-TV (now KCAL-TV) in its Los Angeles and New York sales offices. She began her career in 1981 with John Blair and Company in New York City.

A native of North Jersey, Walz-Zelley is a 1980 graduate of St. Francis College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Business. She currently resides in Stockton, New Jersey.
