The Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia

For many years, Broadcast Pioneers member Ed Harvey had a telephone-talk show on WCAU Radio, now WPHT. It was called, "The Talk of Philadelphia" and over the years Ed had many famous people on his program. Harvey said that one of his most favorite people was singer "Rosemary Clooney." Rosie was the aunt of George Clooney. George's father, Nick Clooney (brother of Rosemary & Betty, "the Clooney Sisters"). Nick was a news anchor in Lexington, Kentucky and then in the sixties hosted "The Nick Clooney Show" on several different television stations in Ohio. In the mid-seventies, Nick hosted "The Money Maze" game show on ABC-TV. Later, he was a local co-anchor with Jerry Springer.
