In 1965, WFIL-TV made the decision to replace veteran news anchor Gunnar Back with a younger newsman, George Redpath. Before that, George did the news on WFIL Radio. We have in our archive a newscast from Sunday evening, March 14, 1965. This is the 11:55 pm newscast.
